Topic Competitions
In Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, and the United States, SIFE Topic Competitions with financial prizes and trophies are planned to promote financial literacy by HSBC in 2010.
CANADA:
ACE/SIFE Canada Regional Financial Education Challenge Topic Competition was held in February and March. The top two teams from each region, 6 total, will compete in Calgary, AB May 10-12 at the 2009 ACE/SIFE Canada National Exposition with the same format to name a first, second, and third place winner nationally.

UNITED KINGDOM:
SIFE United Kingdom held the HSBC Financial Education Challenge Topic Competition was held in April 2010. The winner was London School of Economics and the runner up was University of Sheffield.
UNITED STATES:
In 2010, 137 USA teams competed in the HSBC Financial Literacy Individual Topic Competition by submitting 2-page summaries on financial literacy projects. The top 20 were selected by a panel of HSBC executives and awards made during the 11SIFE USA Regional Competitions including trophies and cash prizes. The top 3 of those 20 will be named National HSBC Financial Literacy Individual Topic Competition winners at the SIFE USA National Exposition in Minneapolis, MN.
