SIFE, in conjunction with the HSBC Global Education Trust and HSBC, is pleased to continue the HSBC Financial Literacy Programme.

The 2008 programme is seeking applications for HSBC Financial Literacy Grants in 23 eligible countries where HSBC and SIFE both have a presence. For more information, select the button titled "Grant Application."

In Australia, Canada, Egypt, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States, SIFE Topic Competitions with financial prizes and trophies are planned to promote financial literacy. Click here more information.

Globally, the HSBC Financial Literacy Programme seeks to improve the financial literacy of people, with special emphasis on SIFE Judging Criteria 4: How effectively did the SIFE team measure and demonstrate that it created economic opportunity by helping others develop the personal financial management skills necessary to achieve financial independence?

In developing project ideas, please take advantage of the work done in 2005, 2006, and 2007 so that we build together on the knowledge created already in the programme. This request is not intended to constrain SIFE teams in any way but rather to save "re-inventing the wheel" and to provide an opportunity to build meaningfully on successful ideas.
