Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA — The Texas State University-San Marcos SIFE team was named the 2011 SIFE USA National Exposition Champion and will advance to represent the USA at the SIFE World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this October. More than 160 SIFE teams participated in the SIFE USA National Exposition May 10-12, and approximately 4,000 people attended this event, including leading business executives who judged the competition. Every country that operates a SIFE program is eligible to conduct a national competition for the teams in that country. Each SIFE team presents the results of their outreach projects to determine which teams made the most impact on their communities. The national champions then face each other at the SIFE World Cup. Thirty-nine SIFE teams are expected to participate in this year's international competition.
