Mumbai, India–The Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies SIFE team was named SIFE India National Champion and will advance to represent India at the SIFE World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this October. Nineteen teams participated in the India National Competition 1 July, and more than 450 people attended this event, including leading business executives who judged the competition.
Every country that operates a SIFE program is eligible to conduct a national competition for the teams in that country. Each SIFE team presents the results of their outreach projects to determine which teams made the most impact on their communities. The national champions then face each other at the SIFE World Cup. Thirty-nine SIFE teams are expected to participate in this year's international competition.
