SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI — SIFE Canada held three regional competitions during the month of March. More than 40 SIFE teams participated in two topic competitions with a total of six teams advancing to the final round of competition for each topic at the national competition. All SIFE teams are still eligible to compete in the SIFE Canada National Competition scheduled for May 4-6.
The national competition will culminate with one team crowned as national champion who will advance to represent Canada at the SIFE World Cup this October. Forty SIFE teams are expected to participate in this year’s international competition in Berlin. A full schedule of SIFE national competitions is available here.
The following SIFE teams were named Regional Champions in the topic competitions listed below:
HSBC SIFE Financial Education Challenge
Calgary: Okanagan College, University of Calgary.
Halifax: College of the North Atlantic – St. John’s, Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Toronto: Ryerson University, St. Lawrence College.
TD SIFE Entrepreneurship Challenge
Calgary: Okanagan College, Royal Roads University.
Halifax: College of the North Atlantic – Windsor, Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Toronto: Ryerson University, University of Windsor.
