SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI, USA – SIFE and Campbell Soup Company announce a new component to Let's Can Hunger™, the joint initiative launched in 2009 designed to raise hunger relief awareness, address hunger causes and help satisfy immediate hunger needs in communities in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Australia.
Now active is the Let’s Can Hunger widget - a basic code that can be installed on any web page or social networking site - that delivers a constant stream of fresh, relevant information on grassroots hunger relief efforts and the organizations and individuals who are making a difference.
This tool, which is fed by CultureWaves®, a global consumer-insights company, is an additional means to promote knowledge about the issue of huger as well as call attention to the unique ways communities are fighting back against hunger through articles on food rescue programs, fundraising and food drive tips. The information showcased via the widget is intended to be inspirational and encourage ideas for how to make an impact.
The widget is available below or can be accessed at www.letscanhunger.com and click on “Get Widget” to capture the code. It has also been added to various widget distribution networks and is available to anyone with an interest in local hunger relief.
“Let’s Can Hunger is a program designed to empower SIFE students to join the Campbell Soup Company’s efforts in the fight against hunger,” said Denise Morrison, president, North America Soup, Sauces and Beverages. “The Let’s Can Hunger widget is the next step in creating an important dialogue around this issue in communities across the world.”
