Springfield, Missouri USA – SIFE World Headquarters is pleased to announce Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as the location of the 2011 SIFE World Cup.

A recent contract signing ceremony was held with the Malaysian government, which has committed RM1 million as a hosting grant for the SIFE World Cup event. Among the government officials, business executives and SIFE leadership who attended the signing ceremony were Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Mamat, secretary general of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry; Bruce Nasby, executive vice president of SIFE Global Development; and Norela Nuruddin, country leader of SIFE Malaysia.

“SIFE looks forward to holding our World Cup in Malaysia and we are very appreciative that so many members of the local government and business community have come forward to support this important event,” said Nasby.

The 2011 SIFE World Cup is scheduled for 3-5 October at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center and Mandarin Oriental Hotel. It is expected to draw more than 2,500 international participants from approximately 40 countries. Other major cities that have hosted recent World Cup competitions include Berlin, Singapore, New York and Paris.
