 SIFE USA Regional Champions Advance to National Competition

SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI — A total of 375 SIFE teams competed at one of 12 SIFE USA Regional Competitions this spring. By the end of the regional round, 170 teams had advanced to the SIFE USA National Exposition where they will present the results of their outreach projects to a distinguished group of business leaders serving as judges.

The SIFE USA National Exposition, scheduled May 11-13, 2010, in Minneapolis, Minn., will begin with the teams being divided among 20 separate opening round competition leagues. From the opening round, one finalist from each league will move forward to one of four semi-final round leagues, with one team from each of these leagues then qualifying to compete in the Final Round of Competition where they will present to a panel of top U.S. business leaders. One of these teams will be chosen as the SIFE USA National Champion team and earn the privilege of representing the United States at the SIFE World Cup. The following SIFE teams were named Regional Champions at the SIFE USA Regional Competitions:

Orange County: Feather River College, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Whittier College, La Sierra University, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Vanguard University of Southern California, Azusa Pacific University, Northwest Missouri State University, University of Arizona.

Minneapolis: AIB College of Business, The University of South Dakota, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Briar Cliff University, North Central University, Viterbo University, St. Norbert College, University of Minnesota-Crookston, University of Saint Thomas, College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University, Southwest Minnesota State University, University of Northern Colorado.

Philadelphia: Messiah College, Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, Elizabethtown College, Penn State Altoona, Immaculata University, York College of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Biblical University, Washington College, Carnegie Mellon University, Mount St. Mary’s University, Montgomery College, Ursinus College, Eastern University, The University of Scranton.
