Frequently Asked Questions:

Where can I find the capital markets curriculum that was shared at the training seminars?

The actual curriculum shared at the training seminars is not available but you will be at to find key terms and concepts that were discussed during the training seminars on the Training Resources page of the website.

Who is the target audience for the SIFE Capital Markets Program and what is the best way to educate the audience about capital markets?

Your target audience is high school aged students. We suggest you spend part of your time developing a general capital market sense and a greater amount of time developing and implementing a specific concept to make that knowledge relatable.

Can a current or on-going project be used for the competition?

Yes. Many projects need sustainability or growth, so using them for the competition is acceptable as long as the project is completed between January 2007 and July 2007.

My SIFE team was not selected to participate in the training seminars, are we still able to submit a report and be eligible to win the award?

Yes. All SIFE China, SIFE Germany and SIFE USA teams are encouraged to compete in the Capital Markets Competition. If your team satisfies the criteria and rules as outlined here then you are eligible to compete and win the award.

Can my SIFE team submit a report for the SIFE Capital Markets Program if we are not part of SIFE China, SIFE Germany or SIFE USA?

No. As described in the partnership with the Goldman Sachs Foundation, SIFE is only able to offer this initiative to teams in China, Germany, and the USA.

How should my team fund our capital markets projects?

SIFE suggests approaching local businesses in your community that may want to partner with you on your capital markets program. For specific methods on fund raising for this project or any other projects please refer to the Fundraising Toolkit.

Will this grant be continued next year?

No. This particular grant from the Goldman Sachs Foundation is for one year.
