2007 Competition Criteria

Submission deadline is 02/07/2007 by 5 p.m. CST

Judging Criteria for the project include:

How effectively did your SIFE team measure, document, and demonstrate that it built an understanding of global capital markets and capital formation with targeted high school students?

Each team will be evaluated on the following:

  1. Overall description of project(s). (1500 Character Limit)
  2. What made your project(s) successful and/or unique? (1500 Character Limit)
  3. How did your team measure and document the capital markets educational impact of the SIFE teams' projects on targeted high school students?
    • Number of SIFE students involved in the project
    • Number of high school students directly reached through capital markets project
    • Percentage increase of knowledge of capital markets of high school participants
    • Pictures-minimum of 1 to maximum of 3 submitted of projects being implemented
    • All copies of local, state, or national media exposure surrounding any activity inspired by the SIFE Capital Markets Training Seminars or competition and that involves your SIFE team

Time Frame for Project(s):

Projects eligible for this competition may be completed anytime from 01/01/2007 to 02/07/2007.

SIFE's Organizational Goal and Commitment:

  • That 3,000 high school students would be impacted worldwide by SIFE teams in the USA, China, and Germany, documented through 100 SIFE teams submitting their reports.
    The Breakdown:
    • That the USA would connect with 1200 high school students with 40 SIFE teams reaching out to an average class size of 30 students per team.
    • That China would connect with 1200 high school students with 40 SIFE teams reaching out to an average class size of 30 students per team.
    • That Germany would connect with 600 high school students with 20 SIFE teams reaching out to an average class size of 30 students per team.
