University of Leiden Wins SIFE Netherlands National Competition

Diemen, Netherlands — The University of Leiden SIFE team was named SIFE Netherlands National Champion and will advance to represent The Netherlands at the SIFE World Cup in Singapore this October.  Ten teams participated in The Netherlands National Competition 6 June, and more than 250 people attended this event, including leading business executives who judged the competition.

Every country that operates a SIFE program is eligible to conduct a national competition for the teams in that country where each SIFE team presents the results of their outreach projects to determine which teams made the most impact on their communities.  The national champions then face each other at the SIFE World Cup.  Forty-two SIFE teams are expected to participate in this year's international competition.
