University of Arizona Wins SIFE USA National Competition

Chicago, Illinois, United States — The University of Arizona SIFE team was named SIFE United States National Champion in the four-year division and will advance to represent the USA at the SIFE World Cup in Singapore this October. Blue Ridge Community College was also named National Champion in the two-year division. Over 140 SIFE teams participated in the SIFE USA National Exposition May 13-15, and over 4,000 people attended this event, including leading business executives who judged the competition. Every country that operates a SIFE program is eligible to conduct a national competition for the teams in that country where each SIFE team presents the results of their outreach projects to determine which teams made the most impact on their communities. The national champions then face each other at the SIFE World Cup. Forty-two SIFE teams are expected to participate in this year's international competition.
