SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI, USA —Over a four-week period, 393 SIFE teams competed at one of 16 SIFE USA Regional Competitions, striving to qualify for the national competition. At the end of the Regional Competition round, 144 teams advanced to the SIFE USA National Exposition in Chicago. At the Expo, each SIFE team will present the results of their outreach projects to determine which teams made the most impact on their communities.
The Expo, scheduled for May 13-15, will culminate with USA National Champions champions being crowned in both the 4-year and 2-year divisions. The 4-year division winner will advance to represent the United States at the SIFE World Cup in Singapore this October. An estimated 4,000 people will attend this year’s Expo, including leading business executives who are slated to judge the competition.
Countries that operate SIFE programs are eligible to conduct national competitions for the teams in each country. The national champions then face each other at the SIFE World Cup. Forty-two National Champion SIFE teams are expected to participate in this international competition. A full schedule of SIFE national competitions is available here.
