Memorial University of Newfoundland Wins SIFE Canada National Competition

Toronto, Canada — The Memorial University of Newfoundland SIFE team was named SIFE Canada National Champion and will advance to represent Canada at the SIFE World Cup in Singapore this October. Forty-four teams participated in Canada's National Competition 12-14 May, and over 1,000 people attended this event, including leading business executives who judged the competition.
Every country that operates a SIFE program is eligible to conduct a national competition for the teams in that country where each SIFE team presents the results of their outreach projects to determine which teams made the most impact on their communities. The national champions then face each other at the SIFE World Cup. Forty-two SIFE teams are expected to participate in this year's international competition.
